Mason City Globe Gazette, Tuesday, 8 Dec. 1936.

Alice, Betty Belle, Erwin, Stanley and Richard Anderson lost their lives together with their parents, Jay E / John E. and Lydia B Anderson, in a kerosene explosion fire at their home in McGregor, Iowa, on 08 Dec. 1936. It was one of the worst loss of life fires in Iowa history at the time.
