Mrs. Emma Anderson
Funeral services for Mrs. Ludwig (Emma) Anderson were held Monday, Nov. 27, 1972, in the United Methodist Church, Monona, Iowa. Pastor Raymond Pacholke officiating. Mrs. Ivon J. Schultz provided the organ music and Mrs. Helen Martin sang. Pallbearers were Carl Smith, Warren Wilke, Barney Whittle, George Keehner, Ronald Schultz, Walter Wilke, Byron Bernhard and H. T. Orr.
She was laid to rest in the City Cemetery.
Emma B. Sande, daughter of Haakon and Anna Sande, was born in Minnesota on December 29, 1895. She passed away at the Postville Community Hosp. in Postville on Nov. 23, 1972, after a short illness.
She was united in marriage to Ludwig D. Anderson on August 11, 1914, at Valley Grove, Minn. There was one child born to this union, LaVern E. Anderson of Las Vegas, Nev.
Emma was a member of the Monona United Methodist Church and served as its treasurer for a number of years. She was also a member of the W.S.C.S. of the United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Postville Chapter No. 238, Order of Eastern Star. She was interested in this work and helped the chapter by serving in many capacities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, and one sister. She leaves to remember her, her son, LaVern, one brother, Walter Sande of Sun City, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. E. J. (Hannah) Hackett of Calmar and Mrs. M. F. (Polly) Meyers of Northfield, Minn., four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
