Edgewood, Ia., Aug. 15 - The funeral of Mrs. Emma Sprague was held from her home here this afternoon. Mrs. Sprague had been ill for a number of years and passed away Aug. 12, 1918.
She was united in marriage with Charles Sprague July 4, 1874, and twelve children were born to them, of whom survive her except one daughter, Georgiana Hatfield, who departed this life September 15, 1904.
Her sons are, Coleman and Burr, of Cresco, Ia.; Frank, of Edgewood; John, a soldier of the U.S.A. with the expedionary force battling for Democracy in France. Her surviving daughters are: Mrs. Hattie Hillsenbeck, Greely, Iowa; Mrs. Grace Howell, Marion, Iowa; Mrs. Ida Combs, Edgewood; Mrs. Bertha Phelps, Greeley, Ia.; Mrs. Goldie Jones and Miss Fern Sprague, Edgewood.
