Garnavillo, Ia - Funeral services for George Wirth, 35, were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church here with the Rev. A. Meyer, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Garnavillo Cemetery.
Mr. Worth died at the Berwyn Hospital near Chicago Monday from injuries and burns received in a truck accident a week ago.
He was born Feb. 3, 1903 in Nassau, Germany and he came to this country in November, 1926. For nine years he worked as a hired man on various farms in this vicinity and three years ago he was one of the three organizers of the W.E.B. Transport Company, engaged in trucking livestock to Chicago.
In April, 1938, he made a return trip to Germany and while there was married to Miss Marie Pflueger at Stuttgart. They returned in June, having since made their home here.
Surviving are his widow; his parents, two brothers, and two sisters in Germany.
