Monona, Ia. - Funeral services for Fred Lembke, 92, who died at his home here Monday, were held at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. R.C. Schlueter, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.
Mr. Lembke was born June 16, 1851 at Gross Laasch, Mecklenberg, Schwerin, Germany, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Johann Lembke. When 22 years old he came to America and he was married here to Elise Springborn Feb. 28, 1884. They made their home on a farm in this vicinity for 26 years, retiring in 1917 to Monona.
Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Erb of Monona and Mrs. S.L. Koehler of Ramona, S.D.; three sons, John of Luana, Emil of Monona, and Arthur of Burlington; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
