Edgewood, Ia. - Funeral services were held at the Platt Funeral Home here Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Lottie Weyant, 69, who died Sunday, March 7, in a Manchester hospital following a paralytic stroke suffered Thursday. The services were conducted by the Rev. Thomas H. Smith, pastor of the Methodist Church. Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery.

As Lottie Wiltse, she was born near Colesburg July 6, 1873, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Wiltse. She taught school for some time and on Feb. 23, 1897, she was married to Fred Weyant. They established their home on a farm north of Edgewood, where they lived for 23 years, after which they moved to Edgewood. Mr. Weyant died 10 years ago.

Mrs. Weyant was an active member of Avalon Chapter, No. 434, Order of Eastern Star; Hiram Steele Woman's Relief Corps, the Methodist Church, and for some time had been secretary-treasurer of the Greenhill Cemetery Association.

Surviving are six children: Wilbur, of Guttenberg; Harlan and Mrs. Leonard Funk, both of Edgewood; Leslie, of Oelwein; George, of Fayette and Lieut. Evelon D. Weyant, of La Junta, Colo.; 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild, and two brothers, Frank Wiltse, of Los Angeles and Will, of Chicago.
