Luana, Ia. - Funeral services for Henry F. Becker, 85, were held at St. John's Lutheran Church here with the Rev. Paul W. Adix, pastor, officiating.
Mr. Becker died Feb 26 following a paralytic stroke suffered four days previous.
He was born Sept. 21, 1857 in Germany and he came to America at an early age, settling at Guttenberg. He was married Sept. 3, 1881 to Marie Buckman and they farmed in this vicinity until 1917 when they retired and moved to Luana.
Mrs. Becker died Oct. 15, 1936.
Surviving are three children: Mrs. Amanda Knuth, Mrs. Walter Knuth, and Fred, all of Luana; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A son also preceded him in death.

Henry Becker Passes.
Henry Becker, who has been in ill health for some time, passed away on Friday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Amanda Knuth, with whom he had been making his home for the past several years.
He was 85 years of age and leaves to mourn his passing two daughters, Mrs. Amanda Knuth and Mrs. Walter Knuth, one son, Fred Becker, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of Luana, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Walter Knuth home and later at St. John's Lutheran church with the Rev. Paul W. Adix officiating.
Burial was in the Eno cemetery south of Luana.
