Karen Clark

Karen Clark, 72, of McGregor, Iowa died Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Northgate Care Center in Waukon, Iowa.

Karen was born March 17, 1941 to Fred and Genevieve (Koehn) Curtis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Karen graduated from MarMac High School in 1959.

Karen was a Realtor in Pine Island for many years. She also worked at the Nursing home in McGregor and at the Piggly Wiggly Bakery in Prairie du Chien. She enjoyed her house plants, camping, being outdoors, spending time with her family and friends, she was an avid reader, she loved visiting over a cup of coffee and spending time with her pets.

Karen is survived by her children, Jay (special friend, Teresa) Weidenbach of Marquette, Troy Weidenbach of Milwaukee, Parris (Karen) Weidenbach of Rock Island and Athena (Jim) Lance of Solon; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, James (Kay) Curtis of Milwaukee, Karlene Curtis of Milwaukee, Lester (Karen) Pillard of Black River Falls and Gary (Nancy) Pillard of Oconomowoc and all her friends that were very dear to her.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Genevieve Curtis; her sister, Kay Yalinova and her brother, Thomas Curtis who was killed in the Vietnam War.

Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, McGregor, Iowa with a visitation one hour before starting at 11:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home on Monday.

Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in McGregor, Iowa is helping the family with the arrangements.
