Obituary Notes, From Works to RewardsDeacon George M. Colgate of McGregor died full of faith and good works. He was clerk of the Turkey River Association for several years, and was an unusually intelligent and devoted Christian and church member. See page 338. Brother Colgate was converted when thirteen years of age and baptized by the late Wm. R. Williams, D.D., being the first candidate baptized into the fellowship of the Amity Street Baptist Church of New York City, of which Dr. Williams remained pastor until his death, over fifty years.
