Monona, Ia. - Funeral services for Julius Kaiser, 66, who died at the Hand Hospital, Shenandoah, Ia., Monday, were held here at the Schultz Funeral Home Thursday afternoon. The Rev. Paul W. Adix, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Luana, Ia., officiated. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery, Monona.
Mr. Kaiser, a son of Mrs. and Mrs. William Kaiser, pioneers of Clayton County, was born on a farm at National, Ia., on Feb. 11, 1878. He attended the rural schools, later graduating from Luther College, Decorah, Ia., the State University of Iowa Law School, and the Washington, D.C. School of Law. He established his first office at Larned, Kan., and later practiced in South Dakota and Nebraska, and at the time of his death had offices at Shenandoah.
Surviving are a son, William J. Kaiser, and a daughter, Mrs. Ramona Taylor, both of Cottonwood, Ariz.; one grandson, Julius Taylor; five brothers, Arthur and Earnest Kaiser, Monona, Emil Kaiser, Lerned, Kans., Edmund Kaiser, of Bensonville, Ill., and Raymond Kaiser, St. Louis, Mo.; five sisters, Mrs. Fred Drahn, Mrs. C.G. Schultz, and Elsie Kaiser, all of Monona, Mrs. Verne Kishman, Luana, and Mrs. Arnold Hoferer, of Benkelman, Neb.
