Bennington, Ada (Whitford) died 1944

BENNINGTON, WHITFORD, BURGIN, JONES, VOSHELL

Volga City, Ia. - Mrs. Roy E. Bennington, 59, died Friday in a hospital at Rochester, Minn., where she had been a surgical patient for several weeks. Funeral arrangements are not completed.

She was the former Ada Whitford and lived on a farm on the Volga-Elkader road for a number of years.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Charles and Richard, both of Volga, and three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Dorothy) Burgin, Indio, Calif., Mrs. Milford (Marjorie) Jones, in Oregon, and Mrs. William (Ruth) Voshell, Indio, Calif. There are 13 grandchildren.

~Dubuque Telegraph-Herald, Saturday, July 29, 1944 - note! this issue of the paper is dated as indicated, but also says Sunday morning edition on the 1st page. All other pages in the paper are dated July 30th, which was a Sunday.

~Burial is in Hillcrest cemetery, Volga
