Strawberry Point, Ia. - John H. Kramer, 77, prominent farmer living southwest of Strawberry Point, died Thursday at St. Patrick's Hospital, Waterloo, as the result of injuries received when he fell down the basement stairs of his home Tuesday night.
He was born at Galena, Ill., on Feb 1, 1867, the son of John and Barbara Kramer. He was married to Elizabeth Anton on September 10, 1891, and they lived on their farm here 38 years.
Surviving are the widow; three sons, Paul, Dundee, Ia., and Carl and Edmund, both of Strawberry Point; two daughters, Mrs. E.G. Battin, Edgewood, Ia., and Mrs. Roy Hood, Independence, Ia.; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Fred, Sebald, Ia. and three sisters, Mrs. George Tucker, Strawberry Point, Mrs. John Cherry, Waterloo, Ia. and Mrs. Lena Conner, Dubuque, Ia.
Funeral services will be held at the Gill Funeral Chapel at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon and at 2 o'clock at the Emanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. L.A. Stumme, pastor, will officiate.
