Strawberry Point, Ia. - Funeral services for John Edward Coffin, 66, who died at Mercy Hospital, Oelwein, Saturday, were held at the Methodist Church here Monday. Burial was here.

Mr. Coffin, the son of Jerome and Isabelle Coffin, was born at Manchester, Ia., on Dec. 30, 1877. He was married to Cora Mabel Straub on Dec. 17, 1902, at Manchester, and farmed for a time near Edgewood and Dundee, Ia. They lived in this community for 23 years.

Surviving are the widow; two sons, Vohn, stationed with the Navy at Brooklyn, N.Y. and Veryl, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Leota Moser, Delhi, Ia., and Mrs. Harm Shaffer, Strawberry Point; four sisters, Mrs. Nora Fober, Manchester, Ia., Mrs. Ethel Lillibridge, in California, and Mrs. Emma Midkiff, in the state of Washington, and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter.
