Elkader, Ia. - Miss Margaret Agnes Boland, who taught in the public schools here for the past 42 years, died at her home at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon following a lingering illness. She was 64 years old.
Funeral services will be held here Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Right Rev. Monsigner P.P. Taken, celebrating the requiem high mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Miss Boland was born Oct. 22, 1875 in Clayton County and she spent her entire life in this vicinity. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church and the Christian Mother and Daughter Society of the church.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. James Boland, with whom she lived; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Donlon of Decorah, Sister Mary Martha of the Presentation Sisters of Dubuque, and Anna at home; and three brothers, John of Tobique, Minn., Phillip at home and Thomas of Strawberry Point.
