Strawberry Point, Ia. - Funeral services for Julien Sloan, 79, will be held here Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Gill Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J.E. McLain, Congregational pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Strawberry Point Cemetery.

Mr. Sloan died Thursday night at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a lingering illness. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sloan and was born Sept. 27, 1860 at Sheridan, N.Y. He came to Strawberry Point when a small child.

Surviving are a brother, Dr. George Sloan, and a sister, Mrs. Allie Deyo, both of Strawberry Point.
