Elkport, Ia. - Funeral services for George Kriebs, 82, lifelong resident of Clayton County, will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at the Walsh Funeral Home at Garber. Mr. Kriebs died suddenly at his home here Friday following a heart attack. He had previously been in good health. He had been in the drug store business here since 1878.

Elkport, Ia. - The funeral of George Kriebs, 82, was held at St. Michael's Catholic Church at Garber with the Rev. Julius Olinger, pastor, celebrating the requiem mass. The Rev. J. Fred Kriebs, of Dubuque, a cousin, was present in the sanctuary. Burial was in Mt. Harmony Cemetery. Mr. Kriebs died suddenly at his home in Elkport.
A native of Clayton County, he entered the drug business here in 1878 and in 1906 he organized a bank. In 1929, however, he gave up banking and returned to his drug business. When 20 years old, he was married to Miss Louisa Cook, of Elkader, who preceded him in death in 1922.
Surviving are his widow, whom he married in 1923; three sons, George, Frank, and Harold; one daughter, Vera; two step-sons, Cyril and Marcellus; two step-daughters, Loretta and Mrs. Janette Schenke.
