Guttenberg, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. Louis Engler, 68, who died at her home at Clayton, were conducted at St. Paul's United Lutheran Church here with the Rev. H.C. Coovert, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the City Cemetery.
She was born Caroline Stamph, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Stamph, in Alsace Lorraine, Germany, on May 10, 1872. She came to America in 1890, settling at West Union. On Nov. 25, 1897 she was married to Louis J. Engler at West Union and later they moved to Clayton.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, John and Fred, both of Clayton; three daughters, Violet at home, Mrs. Anton Troester of Millville, and Mrs. Arthur Radatz of Garnavillo; and one sister, Mrs. Lena Kreger; and five grandchildren.
