Memorial Obituary – Mrs. Malida Schultz
Postville, Iowa – Mrs. Malida Schultz, 91, of Postville died Friday morning at home.
Her husband, William, died Jan 25, 1960.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Luana, Iowa, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call Sunday at the Schutte Funeral Home here.
Surviving are a son, Malin of Monona; a daughter, Miss Cleva Schultz of Postville; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, George and Elmer Radloff, both of Farmersburg, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Hagensick of Elkader, Iowa, and Mrs. Elmer (Hilma) Lenth of Monona, Iowa.

Malida Lena Johannah Radloff, daughter of Carl F. and Wilhelmina (Klinkenberg) Radloff, was born June 14, 1887 on a farm near Clayton Center in Read Township, Clayton County, Iowa. She passed away at her home in Postville, Iowa on May 12, 1978 at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 28 days.
Malida was baptized on July 24, 1887 by F. W. Seifert and confirmed on April 8, 1900 at Clayton Center by F.W. Seifert. She attended school in rural Read Township.
On January 19, 1916 she was united in marriage with William Henry Schultz. Three children were born to this union. The couple farmed in Grand Meadow Township for three years, near Farmersburg for twelve years, moving to the farm north of Luana now owned by their grandson, Jerome. In 1942 they moved to Postville. Mr. Schultz passed away on January 25, 1960.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Jessie Smith; two grandsons: John Louis Smith and William Alan Schultz; a brother, Louis Radloff; and a sister, Ella Dahlstrom.
Survivors include a son, Malin of Monona; a daughter Cleva of Postville; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, two brothers: George and Elmer Radloff, both of Farmersburg; and 2 sisters: Mrs. Lucy Hagensick of Elkader and Mrs. Elmer (Hilma) Lenth of Monona.
Mrs. Schultz had been in failing health for many years and had been cared for by her daughter, Cleva.
