STICKFORT RITES HELD ON TUESDAY

Resident of the Community Died in McGregor

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at St. Paul Lutheran Church here for William A. Stickfort, 77, who died Saturday at the McGregor hospital.

The services were conducted by Rev. L.C. Urlaub, pastor of St. Paul's church and burial was in the Garnavillo City cemetery. The following were pallbearers: Earl Stickfort, Jr., Gregor Stickfort, Aaron Hempeler, Carl Stickfort, Verdean Schlake and Steven Schroeder.

Military rites were said at the graveside and the burial was in charge of the Tuecke funeral home of Garnavillo.

Mr. Stickfort was born June 27, 1887 in Garnavillo Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Stickfort. He never married. Surviving Mr. Stickfort are three brothers, John Stickfort of Canistota, South Dakota, Ed Stickfort of Garnavillo, Arno Stickfort of Clayton, and three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Kobernusz of Manly, Mrs. Fritz Mueller of Farmersburg and Mrs. Christina Gruhlke of Palisade, Minnesota.
