Rev. Bruce Hanson officiatingConstance “Conk” Radloff, daughter of Louis and Ruth Matthews Radloff, was born October 15, 1912 at Farmersburg, Iowa. She attended Farmersburg School graduating in 1930, and attended Elkader Jr. College, receiving a degree in teaching. She taught school locally for over 40 years. She taught at McGregor, Monona, St. Olaf, Giard, Elkader, and Farmersburg.
Constance became a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg April 15, 1962. She did a lot of volunteer work in the neighborhood. She was the Sunday School Education Director, on the community Senior Citizen meal committee, president of the Library board, and on the board of the Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery Committee. Her hobbies included making candy and quilting.
Constance died Thursday, January 6, 1994 at Central Community Hospital, Elkader, Iowa.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Louis and Ruth, and two brothers, Carlton and Dwayne.
Survivors include two brothers and their wives, Glenn and Georgia Radloff, and Keith and Reva Radloff, of Farmersburg; a sister-in-law, Irene Radloff of Florence, Alabama; nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Constance is buried at Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery, Farmersburg, Iowa
