Farmersburg, Ia. - Funeral services for Henry B. Hinsch, 69, who died at Estherville after a long illness, were held at the public hall here Sunday. The Rev. Paxton Smith, McGregor, Ia., officiated, and Harry Stock was in charge of the Masonic rites. Burial was in the Farmersburg-Wagner cemetery.

Funeral Services for Henry D. Hinsch Held At Farmersburg Sunday.

FARMERSBURG: Funeral services for Henry D. Hinsch of Estherville were held Sunday at the Farmersburg opera house with the Rev. Paxton Smith of McGregor and the Masonic Lodge officiating. Burial was at Farmersburg.

Henry D. Hinsch, son of Charles and Amelia Hinsch, was born August 10, 1876, at Farmersburg. His early life was spent in Farmersburg where he attended the local school.

On January 17, 1900, he was married to Miss Theresa Gall, a daughter in the family of the next door neighbor in Farmersburg. Five children were born to them, four of whom survive.

The family moved to Calmar in 1917 Where Mr. Hinsch engaged in the contracting business. After ten years in Calmar they moved to Estherville in February 1927. Here Mr. Hinsch established and carried on the Purity Yeast Co. building up a good business in that territory.

He took an active part in community affairs and was serving in his second term as city councilman at the time of his death. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church at Estherville and was also active in several lodges, the Elks, Masons, K.P.'s and Modern Woodmen

Serious illness developed during the summer which terminated in death on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

He is survived by his widow, Theresa Gall Hinsch; four children, Lloyd of Savanna, Ill., First Sgt. Delbert Hinsch in the Philippines, Milton of Cedar Rapids, and Ethel, now Mrs. Lewis Swab of Deroit, Mich.; and by his aged mother, Mrs. Amelia Hinsch of St. Olaf. There were also two brothers, Charles and Arthur Hinsch of McGregor, and four sisters, Mrs. Claudia Meyer of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Adele Coon of Van Horn, Mrs. Alma Henrick of Los Angeles a Mrs. Eva Mohrman of St. Olaf. There are also four granddaughters, Virginia and Julia Hinsch and Mary Lou and Julia Ann Swab.
