Linda L. Phelps

Memorial Services were held at 3 p.m. July 20, 2013 at Hope Lutheran Church, Littleport, Iowa for Linda L. Phelps of Elkader, who died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Central Community Hospital in Elkader.

Visitation was held from 1 to 3 p.m. July 20, 2013 at Hope Lutheran Church, Littleport, Iowa with Inurnment being held at a later date.

Linda L. Phelps was born April 28, 1949, in Elkader, to Irvin and Mildred (Boege) Phelps. She graduated from Central High School, and attended one year of Beauty School in Iowa City.

She was united in marriage to Bruce Berens on May 15, 1971. One son was born to this union.

Linda was very artistic; she enjoyed painting, sewing, quilting and flowers. She donated her artistic work. She was a beautician for many years then worked for RISE in Elkader for the past several years.

Survivors include her son, Page of Zephyrhills, FL; her mother, Mildred (Everett) Kennedy of Manchester; siblings, Evelyn Moore of Coralville, Fred (Faye) Phelps of Prairie du Chien, WI, Myron (Kris) Phelps of Elkader, Julia Harbaugh of McGregor, Wendy Schroeder of Elkader; step-siblings, Harold Beck of Garnavillo, David (Sue) Beck of Arlington, Lennie (Cathy) Beck of Garnavillo, Laurie (Bernie) Christen of Decorah and many friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her father; paternal and maternal grandparents and a step-brother, Milton Beck.
