Monona - Funeral services for Charles Samuel Clawson, 83, who died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Vern Flack, were held Monday afternoon at the Schultz Funeral home. Burial was at Strawberry Point. The Rev. Roscoe C. Jerrell officiated.

Mr. Clawson was born in Stubend county, Ind., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Asa N. Clawson. On Oct 1, 1895, he was married to Berthene Deyo, of Strawberry Point, and they live north of here for 38 years. They went to Waterloo, Ia. in 1939, and Mrs. Clawson died there in 1942.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Andrew Jones, Harper's Ferry, and Mrs. Flack, Monona, and two sons, Lloyd, Concord, Calif. and Howard, Riverside, Calif. Besides his wife, he was preceded by an infant son.
