Postville Herald, Fri., 5 Mar. 1920, in the Postville 25 Years Ago column, from the files of the Iowa Volksblatt of 8 Mar. 1895.

The 14 year old son of the Henry Schroeder family died on last Saturday. This is the third child of this family to pass away within the last two weeks.

-----

Elgin Echo, Thursday, 7 March 1895.

Again has death visited the home of Henry Schrader. His son Johnie, aged 14, died on Saturday of scarlet fever. This makes the third death in the family inside of two weeks. The family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.

-----

Postville Review, Saturday, 8 March 1895.

That dread scourge, scarlet fever, claimed another victim in the Schroeder family in Grand Meadow township, last Saturday, a boy 16 years old being the third to go in about two weeks. Words are inadequate to express the feelings of those that remain, and sympathy seems to be only a mockery in their great grief.

NOTE: The Woodmansee burial book (see Allamakee County web site.) shows:

Bertha Schroeder 1880 - 1895.
Johnnie Schroeder 1878 - 1895.
Willie Schroeder 1875 - 1895.

All as buried in Postville cemetery area A, and all with the notation "same lot as Mary".

The Iowa Gravestone Photo Project has photographs of their gravestones listed with the surname Schroeder, but the pics show the surname as Schroder. The stones are all of the same type and design, all in Postville cemetery.
