JAKE STEEN PASSES FRIDAY

Funeral Services in Elkader for Local Resident

Jake M. Steen, 70, died last Friday at his home here following a brief illness.

The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Peace Lutheran Church in Elkader and burial was in Eastside Cemetery in Elkader.

Mr. Steen is survived by his wife, two sons, LeRoy Steen and Valoyd Steen both of Guttenberg and by three daughters, Mrs. Marvin Clark of Hazleton, Mrs. Carol Berns of Elkader, and Mrs. Robert DeCook of Guttenberg.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as one brother, William Steen of Strawberry Point and two sisters, Mrs. Warren Hughes, and Mrs. Fred Henning both of Elkader.
