WALTER KINYON DIES FRIDAY
Funeral services were held at the Shelly funeral home in Manchester Monday afternoon for Walter S. Kinyon, 74, who died last Friday following a long illness.
The services were conducted by Rev. Forrest Kellogg, pastor of the Silver Creek Methodist church and burial was in Oakland cemetery at Manchester.
Mr. Kinyon was born March 29, 1890, in the Guttenberg area, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kinyon. He grew up on a farm near Guttenberg and was educated in the Jefferson Township schools. After graduation, he homesteaded in the Province of Alberta in Canada where he remained until 1912. He then returned to the Guttenberg community and in 1915 on July 14, he married Edith Mae Graybill. The couple moved to Lamont to farm, leaving there in 1962 to move to Loveland, Colorado.
Mr. Kinyon is survived by his wife, Edith Graybill Kinyon and one daughter, Mrs. Donald Palmer of near Masonville. Also surviving are five grandchildren. Five brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
