Eugene L. Turner, 77, Passes Away Saturday

Funeral services were held here Tuesday afternoon at the Schutte Funeral Home for Eugene L. Turner, 77, who passed away at Keystone, So. Dak., Saturday morning while enroute from his home in Grand Meadow, Minn., to Oregon. Services were held earlier in the Eli Temanson home at Grand Meadow Tuesday morning. Interment was in Eno Cemetery.

Eugene Levi Turner was born as the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Persis Nichols Turner in Wagner township, Clayton County, March 22, 1869. He was married to Miss Arantha Cook at Monona March 18, 1891. To them three children were born, Hazel who preceded her father in death, Mabel (Mrs. Eli Temanson) and Ralph B. Turner, both of Grand Meadow, Minn.

Mr. Turner and family lived in Iowa until March, 1914, when they moved to the farm near Grand Meadow, Minn., later moving to town until the death of Mrs. Turner in April, 1943. Since then he has made his home with his daughter. Mr. Turner's parents, two sisters and brother preceded him in death, the latter, Harry N. Turner, passing away only last June.

In addition to his son and daughter, Mr. Turner is survived by six grandsons, one great-grandson and eight nieces and nephews.
