Garber, Ia. - Ben J. Meyer, 52, died at his farm home near here early Friday after a lingering illness. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's church, Garber, and burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery, Garnavillo, Ia.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; one daughter, Rita, at home; one son, Clarence, at home; and five sisters, Mrs. James McCain, Guttenberg, Ia.; Mrs. Henry Finnigan, Colesburg, Ia.; Mrs. Frank Urrell [Uriell], Garnavillo; and Josie Noack, Cedar Rapids, Ia.
