Funeral services for Kymm Marie Gerleman, age 17, were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2004 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona, Iowa with Rev. Allen Bidne officiating. Burial was at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Monona, Iowa. The Leonard Funeral Home of Monona, Iowa handled the arrangements.

Kymm Marie Gerleman, daughter of Duane and Marsha (Everman) Gerleman, was born February 24, 1987 in Decorah, Iowa. She was baptized November 7, 1987 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, Iowa and confirmed October 29, 2001 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona, Iowa. She loved spending time with her famiy and friends, music, scrapbooking, all animals, especially her puppy Boozer. Kymm received the MFL MarMac Academic Award, United States Achievement Award, National Society of High School Scholars and President's Education Awards Program in recognition of outstanding educational improvement.

Kymm Marie Gerleman died Monday, November 29, 2004, rural Postville, Iowa, following injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Hugo Gerleman and her maternal grandmother Betty Everman.

Kymm is survived by her parents Duane and Marsha Everman; her three siblings, Veronica (Seth) Colvin of Belleview, Florida; Kristopher Gerleman of Lemoore, California; and Danielle Gerleman of Ossian, Iowa; paternal grandmother, Leona Gerleman of Ossian, Iowa; maternal grandfather, Harold Everman of Postville, Iowa; and one niece, Kylie Colvin
