Jeffery E. Debes

Jeffery Eric Debes, 62, of Elkader, Iowa, died at the Elkader Care Center in Elkader, on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with Huntington’s disease.

He was born on December 17, 1949, in Oelwein, the son of Verne L. and Margaret R. (Nading) Debes. Jeffery was raised and educated in Elkader, graduating from Elkader High School.

Jeff was employed as a veterinarian assistant the majority of his life. He had resided in Cedar Rapids and Edgewood. The last 5 years he made his home at the Elkader Care Center.

Survivors include his sister, Leilani Morgan of Santa Clara, Utah, and a special uncle, Russell (Ruth) Nading of Marion.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; and two siblings.

There was no visitation or funeral services.
