Died- At his residence in Grand Meadow township, on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 4th, 1899, after a short illness of pneumonia, John Kluss, aged 40 years.

This is a peculiarly sad case. Mr. and Mrs. Kluss had just got in splendid shape to live. Only a year ago they built the finest farm residence in this part of the state, together with a new barn. Everything was in fine shape to live in comfort and luxury. Three children and the wife are left to mourn the loss of a devoted husband and father. Mr. Kluss has always been a special friend of the Review, while differing in its politics, and it is with sadness that we have to chronicle his death at so eearly an age, just when all the possiblities of a ssuccessful life were before him. To the family and friends we extend our heartfelt sympathy.

The widow will receive $5,000. in life insurance, $3000. from the Woodsmen and $2,000. from the Workman. The funeral will be held on Saturday from the residence at 1 o'clock p.m. Interment in the Grand Meadow cemetery.
