Postville Review, Fri., 28 July 1899.

Mr. Ed Ryan, Sr., died of heart failure on Tuesday, and was buried at Monona on Thursday. Mr. Ryan was a pioneer of Clayton county, living a number of years about two miles southeast of Luana.

Edmund Ryan aged 70 years and 4 months died at Monona July 25th, 1899. He had been a resident of this county since 1870. A wife and nine children survive him. The funeral was held at Monona on Thursday last.
