Frank Sudol, Sr. Funeral Services
Funeral services for Frank Sudol, Sr., 77, were held Monday morning, Aug. 10, at 10 o'clock at St. Patrick Catholic church with Father Donald Heineman officiating.
Burial was in St. Patrick cemetery. Military rites at the grave were conducted by Amvets Post No. 27.
Mr. Sudol died suddenly in his sleep, Wednesday night, Aug. 11, at about 10 o'clock from an apparent heart attack.
He was born a son of Frank and Mary (Klima) Sudol, Jan. 26, 1984, in Giard township. He received his education at the Klima school. He was a veteran of World War I, having served overseas in France.
He was married to Mary Ambrose, Oct. 10, 1928. They went to live on the John Bonzer farm and 2 years later moved to his father's farm on which Lee Allen Johanningmeier now lives. After 2 years there, they moved back to the Bonzer farm, which by this time was owned by Joe Bonzer, from whom they purchased it. Frank and Mrs. Sudol lived there for 40 years until 3 years ago when they moved to Monona.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister, Mrs. LeRoy (Anna) Palas, and a brother, John.
Surviving are his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. James (Loretta) McNally of McGregor and Mrs. John (Marilyn) Kolker of Guttenberg; a son, Frank, Jr., of McGregor; a brother, Ben Sudol of Dubuque; and 7 grandchildren.
