Funeral services for J.J. Pfrommer were held Wednesday afternoon at the St. Sebald church conducted by the pastor, Rev. E.R. Melchert. Interment took place in the cemetery near the church. The pall bearers were Otto Baumgartner, Martin Baumgartner, Carl Zwangizer, Fred Kramer, Sigmund Otdoefer and John Weger.

John Jacob Pfrommer was born in Wuerzburg, Germany, Dec. 10, 1844. Soon after birth he was baptized and later intructed (sic) and confirmed. He grew to manhood and in due time was called to serve his time in the army in 1870 and 1871.

He was united in marriage to Anna Maria Rentschler, Aug. 28, 1873. This union was blessed with one child, Anna, now Mrs. Louie Baumgartner. Mr. and Mrs. Pfrommer came to America and enlisted first at Littleport and later near St. Sebald. A number of years ago they moved to Strawberry Point. November 28, 1926, Mrs. Pfrommer passed away and since that time, Mr. Pfrommer has made it his home with his daughter.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his daughter, one sister, Mrs. John Fenchel, and four grandchildren, also one foster son, John Pfrommer, all of Strawberry Point.
