Services Held For Wayne Alderson
Wayne Raymond Alderson, age 63, died March 11, 1973 at Veteran's Hospital, Iowa City, after a
long illness.
He was born July 10, 1909 in Fayette County to Ray and Lillian Alderson.
He was employed as a Clayton County maintainer and affiliated with the Methodist Church.
He was united in marriage to Amber Richardson on May 21, 1948.
He is survived by his wife, Amber of Strawberry Point; one son LaVern Alderson, Strawberry Point;
and three step-sons: Doren Richardson, now in Turkey; Elmer Richardson, Arlington Heights,
Illinois; and Merle Richardson, Coggon, Iowa. He is also survived by one brother, Melvin Alderson,
Strawberry Point and one sister, Mrs. Virgil (Maxine) Quinn, Elkader, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Services were held Tuesday, March 13, 1973 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church,
Strawberry Point by the Rev. Francis Shreve. Burial was at the Strawberry Point Cemetery.
