Bartels, Claudine (Schoellerman) Hinsch 1822-1897

HINSCH, BARTELS, BENJEGERDES, SCHOELLERMAN

Died: At her home in Farmersburg, March 6th, Mrs. Claudine Hinsch Bartels nee Schoellerman. She
was born at Heide, Holstein, Germany, May 11th, 1822, and was married to Hienrich Hinsch in
1847, at Hamburg, Germany. She was left a widow in 1855, and in October 1874 was married to
Peter Bartels. They emigrated to America in July 1889 so as to live near her children, Charles
Hinsch, of Farmersburg, and Mrs. Christine Bengegerdes, of Worth county, Iowa. She leaves a
husband, one brother in Dakota, and two sisters in Germany. The funeral was held Tuesday
afternoon at one o’clock at the church, Rev. Seifert officiating. Her remains were laid to rest in the Farmersburg (Iowa) cemetery.
