Funeral Services For Jane Baade
Funeral services for Jane Rhonda Baade, 21, of Highland, Ind., were held Monday afternoon, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran church with Rev. R. E. Langholz and Rev. Fred F. Darnauer officiating.
The body lay in state at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the services. Burial was in the Monona City cemetery.
Miss Baade first became ill with heart trouble in June of 1967. She began failing seriously last September and died Thursday, Feb. 6. She had received Holy Communion the previous week from her pastor. Services were held at Highland last Saturday evening with Rev. Lassonke of Redeemer Lutheran church in charge.
Miss Baade was born Aug. 10, 1947, at McGregor, the daughter of Theodore and Ruth (Paulsen) Baade. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran church at McGregor by Rev. Starke with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Baade as sponsors.
She attended school at Farmersburg, Iowa, Casper, Wyo., and graduated from high school at Highland, Ind. After graduation from high school, she attended McMurray College at Jacksonville, Ill., majoring in biology.
She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran church at Highland, Ind. where she had served as president of the Walther league and as a Sunday school teacher.
Surviving are her parents, 2 younger sisters, Susan of Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, and Ann at home; her grandmother, Mrs. Henry Baade of Monona; her fiance, Robert Rezney; and uncles, aunts and cousins.
Pallbearers were Mark, Douglas, and Eugene Baade, Harold David, Myon Ihde and Loren Dettmann.
