GUTTENBERG, Iowa - Richard Louis Roepke, 77, of Guttenberg, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at the Guttenberg Care Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 207 S. First St., Guttenberg, with the Rev. Harold McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the Guttenberg City Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
He was the son of August and Amelia (Ott) Roepke. He served in the Army during World War II.
He worked in construction for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis (Harbaugh) White Roepke; two daughters, Connie Roepke, of Cedar Rapids, and Diane Roepke, of Madison, Wis.; three sons, Michael (Nancy) Roepke, of East Dubuque, Ill., Arnold Roepke, of Millville, and Richard (Sherry) Roepke, Jr., of Surprise, Ariz.; three stepdaughters, Julie (Dave) Briemon, of Elkader, Connie (Stephen) Bayne, of Rockledge, Fla., and Jody Klein, of Garnavillo; a sister, Zellma Wells, of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren and stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dolores; two sisters, Elsie and Clara Bell; and four brothers, Elmer, Arnold, Rudy and Raymond.
