Ruby Elise Mary Breitsprecher
Ruby Elise Mary Breitsprecher was born to parents Henry and Wilhelmina (Sass) Mueller on June 26, 1908, in Monona Township, Clayton County, Iowa. She died on Monday, May 11, 1992, at the Great River Care Center in McGregor, Iowa. She was 82.
She was baptized on September 20, 1908 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona by Pastor Otto Wappler, and confirmed on March 25, 1923 at St. John Lutheran Church in Luana by Pastor H. P. Kumpf. She attended rural school District 2 and Luana consolidated school.
On June 3, 1944, Ruby married Delbert H. Breitsprecher in Elkader, Iowa. The couple farmed near Luana. In 1951 they moved into Luana.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Delbert, who died on Oct. 22, 1962; and 5 brothers, William, Arthur, Eddie, Leslie and Henry.
Surviving are 3 nieces, 4 nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews, 22 great great nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, Margaret Mueller of Monona.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 14, 1992 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Luana, Pastor Ted Ager officiating. The organist was Helmuth Landt. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. The pallbearers were Eugene, David, Jeffery, Steven and Timothy Mueller, Todd Lenth, Scott and Brian Wieser, Kim and Terry Schlitter. Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona was in charge of services.
