Attend Funeral Of Mrs. Bandow
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Thornton and daughters, Dora Jean and Irene, were at Elkader Monday afternoon to attend the funeral of Mrs. Thornton's sister, Mrs. LeRoy Bandow, 40, who passed away suddenly Friday evening while playing cards with a group of friends at the H. L. Meyer home in Elkader.
She was born as Eda Honn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Honn, former Hardin residents. Surviving are her husband and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Claude Powell of Elkader; Mrs. Mabel Miller, Mrs. Emma Thompson and Roy Honn of Monona; Mrs. Harley Palas of Farmersburg; Mrs. Ross Thornton of Postville; Arthur Honn of Colesburg and Harvey Honn of St. Olaf.
Mrs. Bandow was active in Eastern Star Chapter work and in the various organizations of the Evangelical church of her home city.
Others going from here to attend the funeral Monday were William Foels, Mrs. Cora Lennon, Mr. and Mrs. Luver C. Schultz and Dorothy, Mrs. Anna Schroeder, Mr. and Mrs. Arno Schutte, Mrs. Eldo Gericke, Mrs. Helmuth Meyer, Mrs. Florence Schutte, Fred Schutte, Mrs. Irene Helgerson and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Adam.
