RITES HELD FOR DEBORAH SCHULTZ

Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. for Deborah Jane Schultz, 7, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schultz of Luana, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Luana, the Rev. L. W. Reuther officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery at Luana.

Very brief was the life of Deborah Jane Schultz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schultz. She was born April 18, 1950 in Luana. On July 9, 1950 she was baptized into St. John's Lutheran Church and at the age of three, became a member of the Sunday School.

For the past two and one-half years, Deborah Jane suffered from an incurable disease which did not prevent her from passing her grades in the public school and continuing in other activities. On August 15, 1957 she was taken to the hospital in Postville where shortly thereafter, she passed away at 3:30 o'clock having attained the age of seven years, three months and 28 days.

She is survived by her parents, one sister, Susan, one brother, David, all at home in Luana; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Strauch and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Schultz; two great grandmothers, uncles and aunts, and a host of other relatives and friends.
