Mrs. Henry (Malinda Louise Meyer) Heusman

Mrs. Henry Heusman, nee Malinda Louise Meyer, the daughter of Charles F. Meyer and Sophia Stopperan Meyer, was born on November 24, 1891, in Grand Meadow township, Clayton county, Iowa. She was baptized at her home in Clermont township, Fayette county, on March 1, 1892 by the Rev. John Gass, and confirmed in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Postville on April 16, 1905. She died at her home at Clayton County on May 2, 1963 at the age of 71 years, five months and eight days.

She was married to Fred Heusman in November, 1917. To this union were born two sons.

Her husband, Fred, died in 1931.

She was married to Henry Heusman on May 7, 1932. She has lived in the Postville area all of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Fred Heusman; two sons, Elliott and Vern; three brothers, Victor, Cevert and Glen, all of Postville.

She is survived by her husband, Henry; one sister, Mrs. William F. Baltz, of Postville; four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville all of her life and a member of the Lutheran Church Women of this Church.

Funeral services were conducted at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Postville on Monday, May 6, at 2:00 with the Rev. Charles E. Witt, officiating. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
