Mrs. Lawrence William (Lucille Matilda Lange) Schultz
Lucille Matilda Schultz, daughter of Herman and Katherine Lange, was born January 2, 1904 in Frankville Township. She died Saturday, December 23, 1995 at the Good Samaritan Center, Postville, Iowa.
She was baptized at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Eldorado, Iowa, and confirmed April 13, 1919 at Castalia, Iowa. She received her education in the Castalia Public School.
Lucille was united in marriage to Lawrence W. Schultz on November 1, 1921 by Pastor Schmidt at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Postville, Iowa. They lived in the Luana area all of their married life. They were members of St. John during that time. She was a member of the Hope Circle. Lucille belonged to a local card club for 50 years. She was the oldest lady residing in Luana.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Lawrence, who died June 10, 1978; a daughter, Erma Jean Rynasiewicz; a granddaughter, Deborah Schultz; a grandson, Dr. John Rynasiewicz; two sisters, Emma Snitker and Esther Russet; two brothers, Eldo Lange and Arthur Lange.
Surviviors include a son, Robert and his wife, Betty , of Luana; a son-in-law, Joe Rynasiewicz of Lyndhurst, Ohio; three grandchildren, Susan Schultz, Dr. Robert Rynasiewicz and wife, Barbara, and David Schultz and granddaughter-in-law, Mona Schultz; five great-grandchildren, Blake Schultz, Sarah Schultz, Stephanie Schultz, Sam Rynasiewicz and John Rynasiewicz, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 27, 1995 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Luana. Pastor Jeff Ruetten officiated. Organist was Mrs. Carol Goettler. Special music was provided by Keith and Dixie Kutzbach. Pallbearers were David Schultz, Robert Rynasiewicz, Raymond Doerring, Duaine Davis, John Schultz and William Ohloff. Schultz's Funeral home of Monona was in charge of services. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Luana.
