George Martin Franck
Funeral services for George Martin Franck, 75, of Central City were held Monday afternoon, July 21, at 1:30 o'clock at the United Methodist church in Strawberry Point with Rev. Martin Miller officiating.
Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
Mr. Franck died at the Veterans hospital after a brief illness.
He was born the son of Martin L. and Millie, nee Schlitter, Franck, Dec. 24, 1893, at Monona. He was married to Mabel Elet at Monona, Feb. 20, 1919.
For a number of years, Mr. Franck lived and worked in or near Strawberry Point. Later he lived at Hazelton and of late years at Central City. He served in World War I, was a member of the American Legion and was affiliated with the Methodist church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters, one brother, and three grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Irene) Wilson of Waterloo and Mrs. Veryl (LaVon) Kelley of Central City; one son, Donald of Center Point; a foster sister, Louise Ziegler of Guttenberg; 24 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

Addendum to obituary:
George Martin Franck died July 18, 1969.
Also the published obituary gave that he was the son of Martin and Millie, nee Schlitter. Millie is not correct, it should be Minnie.
George was my Great Uncle.
