ELDO F. MEYER
Funeral services were held for Eldo F. Meyer, 69, June 12, 1980, at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, with burial in the East Side Cemetery, Elkader. Rev. Karl E. Hansen officiated and pallbearers were Gary Maker, Strawberry Point, Virgil Fette, St. Olaf, Bob Maker, Strawberry Point, Dale Kurth, Farmersburg, Henry (Red) Possehl, Elkader and Harold Lenth, Monona.
Born the son of William and Emma Block Meyer on March 20, 1911, at Guttenberg, he married Mildred Fette in Elkader on February 1, 1940. Four children were born to this union. They farmed until retirement in 1972 when they moved to Elkader and Eldo was employed at the Elkader Co-op. He died June 10, 1980, at LaCrosse Lutheran Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ruby.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Esther (Mrs. Valdean Engelhardt), Farmersburg, Norma Winter, Elkader and Linda (Mrs. Roger Moeller), Luana; and one son, Merlin, Elkader; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Funk, Dubuque, Mrs. Loren (Arleen) Schroeder, Monona, Mrs. Francis (Agnes) Everett, Cedar Rapids and three brothers, Orville Maker, Postville, Ewald Maker, Strawberry Point and Lester Maker, Dubuque.
