GLEN HENRY MEYER
Funeral services are being held this afternoon (Wednesday), 2:00 p.m., at St. Paul's Luthran Church in Postville for Glen H. Meyer, who passed away November 18 following a lingering illness. The Rev. C. E. Witt will be in charge of the rites. Burial will be in Postville cemetery.
Glen Henry Meyer was born on August 3, 1901 at Postville, the son of Charles Meyer and Sophia Stopperan Meyer. He passed away after a lingering illness on November 18, 1956.
He was baptized on September 29, 1901 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and confirmed on March 28, 1915. He remained a very active and faithful member of St. Paul's throughout his life, serving on the building committee for the new church and also as a member of the Church Council.
He was married to Bernice Louise Engelhardt of Luana on October 16, 1928. They have lived on a farm south of Postville since the time of their marriage. To this union was born one son, Ronald Glen.
He is survived by his wife, and one son, Ronald Glen, two sisters, Mrs. William Baltz of Postville, and Mrs. Henry Heusman of Postville, and one brother, Victor Meyer of Monona, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Cevert Meyer.
