Shirley Jean Knight was born February 4, 1934, to Alpha and Lelia Cahoon Knight. She attended the McGregor schools and was confirmed in the McGregor Methodist Church.

She was married to Marvin Beisker on July 24, 1954. Two children were born to this union, Gregory, 15, and Wanda, 13.

She is survived by her husband and children, and also her mother, Mrs. Lelia Knight of Decorah, three sisters, Mrs. Sidney (Ruth) McClintock, Decorah, Mrs. Howard (Betty) Hill, Monona, and Mrs. Mervin (Hazel)* of Waukon.

Preceding her in death, were her father, and two sisters and one brother, who died in infancy.

The Schultz Funeral Home at Monona were in charge of arrangements and burial was in Council Hill Cemetery.

Shirley's sister, Ruth McClintock, was our neighbor when I was growing up on our farm at Rossville.

The sister, Hazel, was Mrs. Mervin (Hazel) Hill.
The siblings who died as infants were named: Ina Rae Knight, Eva Knight, and Glen Knight.
