COOBS, SHEPARD, SHELPS, TORNOWSKE, DONLON

Lucinda A. Coobs, 86, of McGregor passd away Sunday, June 8, 1986, at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She was born July 1, 1899 at Postville. Her parents were Walter Shepard and Evaline Phelps.

Lucinda's husband, Henry, passed away Oct 3, 1981.

Survivors include one son, John Coobs of Norris, TN; two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Tornowske of McGregor, and Mrs. Nancy Donlon of Luana; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday, June 11, at 2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in McGregor with Rev. Katherine Harding officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Ceemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Donlon, Dan Donlon, Tim Donlon, Jack Coobs, David Coobs and Frank Livingood. Thornburg Funeral Home, McGregor, was in charge of arrangements.
