HOLD SERVICES FOR CLIFFORD BARR, WHO PASSED AWAY FEB. 26
Clifford Abner Barr, son of Henry M. Barr and May E. Spencer-Barr, was born in Delaware County, Iowa, on October 24, 1881, and passed away while a patient in the Finley Hospital in Dubuque on February 26, 1943. Mr. Barr had been in failing health since last spring.On March 24, 1934, he was united in marriage to Esmeralda Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Barr lived in Los Angeles, Calif., until May of 1941 when they returned to Iowa to care for Mr. Barr's father.
Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his departure, a brother, Jay D. Barr of San Diego, Calif., and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted in the Platt Funeral Home in Edgewood by the Rev. Warren A. Bintz, pastor of the Colesburg Zion-Immanuel Methodist Churches. Casket attendants were Francis Funk, Lee Way, L. H. Perrinjaquet, Lloyd Funk, Ross Chase and John Gates. Music for the service was sung by D. E. Rhines and C. J. Rulon with Miss Kirk accompanist. Burial was made in the Edgewood Cemetery.
