I am not related and have no further information, this is taken from an old scrapbook that belonged to Mrs. Clara (Jones) McCartney

McCARTNEY FUNERAL AT PONY LAKE ON THURSDAY

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 20, at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Pony Lake for Nick McCartney, pioneer resident of Liberty township who passed away at his home Saturday evening. Rev. H. M. Bueide of the Nymore Lutheran Church will officiate and interment will be made at the Pony Lake cemetery.

Mr. McCartney was born in Delaware county, Iowa, May 22, 1875 and was 60 years of age at the time of his death which followed an illness of several years. He had been a resident of Liberty township for 34 years. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Clifford Olson of Wilson, three grandchildren, one brother, Warren McCartney of Gilman, Wis., and two sisters, Mrs. John Germann of LaCrosse, Wisc. and Mrs. Joseph Nicks of Dubuque, Iowa.
